In the United Kingdom a movement known as Dry January is currently not only going on but growing as well. The movement has millions of individuals who are giving up alcohol for the month of January. The movement is ran by the charity Alcohol Change UK.
Starting on the first of January New Years Day until the first of February participants can have no alcohol. There is no good time or golden ticket for a day off If you start late or decide to have a drink along the way your body will still thank you for a drier January However, if you do make it through the entire month you will get an even larger benefit
One of the largest benefits is seeing that you don't have to have alcohol. It is not something needed to have fun, go out with friends, stay in, relax or do anything that you nearly always had alcohol with. Learning that lesson will help you gain a bit of control over your drinking
