Friday Fragments

This weekly life roundup of Friday fragments sponsored by Half-Past Kissin Time allows us to share small thoughts that we may not share other wise
  • This week has been one with lots of emotions from tears to happiness we have seen it all. This is a time where my son is getting ready to go away to college and my daughters graduation from high school.
  • I enjoy my life right now with the wonders that are going on it. We are all coming together and working well as a family. I love it when everyone actually acts like a family and comes together to be one
  • I love the spring air and the lovely picture outside my window. It is wonderful that the birds, squirrels, and rabbits all love to visit our yard and we can take lots of great nature pictures
  • I am very proud of my daughter if you have not read it in the numerous post on my blog. She is the third to graduate from high school. I know that her dad is especially proud as he did not have the opportunity to graduate or finish high school. He loves to see his kids excel and this graduation is a sign of excelling.

What is going on with you in your life? What do you want to share with others? To see what others are sharing head to read other Friday fragments here

Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response

My question today is what will you be doing this Memorial Day? Will you be cooking out, festivals? What are you doing?

We will be cooking out on Monday, festival on Sunday and we will be going to the gravesite of my mother in law sometime this weekend as well

if you want to participate in Aloha Friday with your own question or read other questions head over to the blog An Island Life

Popatot Review and giveaway

I am a grandmother to a very special little girl named Katlynn. I try to make as much time for Katelynn as possible. I love to take her places where I go and I know that her mom and dad taker her places all the time. The one problem that we had when we took her places was that we could not carry all of her needed items with her. If we decided to take her places where we would stay for a while or walk around we would need her stroller, walker, as well as her diaper bags. Yes mommy packs 2 bags. It would get quite hectic and confusing. When I saw the Popatot it pleased me greatly. This great item the Popatot is so easy to store, transport and use it was a dream come true.

The Popatot will provide hours of fun for our little one. Since she is unsteady while sitting up the popatot provides just the right support to allow Katelynn to play while in an upright position. The great Popatot is a great item that can be folded up and carried in a bag no bigger than the one you transport your yard chair around in and takes up no more room than the umbrella stroller when folded up. What a great invention. The popatot truly carries a lot of punch in its small package.

The Popatot does for the little one what the recliner, remote and mini fridge does for a grown man LOL. The Popatot provides all the necessities at an arms reach and is built on a sturdy frame to support it all. Whether using indoors or outdoors the Popatot is great for any location. If using outside the canvas covering on the Popatot will protect the baby's feet from itchy grass, sand or whatever surface the Popatot is located on. In addition this great canvas will make for easy cleanup after use to help clean up any mess left behind. The great seat on the Popatot is sturdy enough for even the most movable child but yet is comfortable enough to sit and play for a while. With the ease of the toys and cup and snack departments the Popatot creates a ease of known sorrounding for the little one.

Popatot Promise to make safe, smart and tough Indoor/Outdoor products for your active child that are fun, inspiring, promote healthy growth, and a thriving playful experience says a mouthful about how they feel about Thieu great product. Therefore, I believe that the Popatot company truly is one of the top companies that make products for the little ones we love. The creators of the great Popatot product also promise that if the product they sell is not top quality and something they would use for their family then they will not sell it to you. What a great statement that is. I feel that truly shows care and pride in the products they sell. The Popatot company goes as far as guaranteeing this great product. WOW!!!!!!! How many companies would do that?

Our Story of the great Popatot goes something like this. I first saw the Popatot product while browsing the web. I was impressed by the look and convince that I wanted to share the information with others like you , my readers. I then wrote the company to see if I could review the great product. As a grandma to a great growing granddaughter I knew this was something that I truly wanted. The Popatot arrived in a box similar to an umbrella stroller box and I personally had no idea at first at what was in the box. I opened it and was very surprised. The Popatot came in its own transporter bag to ease in carry it around and storage. It could easily be stored under the bed or in my closet or since I have a fascination with using my porch corners for storage I placed it there. I just realized if I had a hook to hang up items I bet it could be placed there as well. Another idea to place on my hubby's honey do it list LOL. I tested it when Katelynn came for a visit she loved it and sat very well in it. She is a bouncy sprite little six month old baby girl. Princess I call her and for my little princess there is nothing but the best. The Popatot was easy enough to use inside the house but then my daughter who loved the product asked to borrow it. OH MY!!!!!! What was a mom to do say no it was MINE!!!!!!! or agree and let her borrow it. Well guess what i did. I let her borrow it. She took it to her husbands church basketball game and the Popatot kept Katelynn entertained while her daddy played. Now mommy,(my daughter) takes it everywhere they go. She has fallen in love with it and I do not see it staying in my corner of the porch any longer. The Popatot as we all learned is a necessary for the growing baby girl we called Katelynn. We believe if you tried it you would want it for your little prince or princess as well

Thankful thursday

This thursday I am thankful for my children and the manner in which they show others love. I am proud for the way that school is very important to them but they love to give friends who are thinking about quitting esteem and support so they think about their decision.

I am thankful that when my daughter went shopping for an outfit yesterday that she reminded her friends that she dresses modest without exposing that which should use imagination. This pleases me she found a delightful outfit that fit both her need of style and modesty and I believe her friend was very pleased and suprised

I am thankful that my son loves to help with the little ones and the young children that he leads love him. They are super cute and he is both supportive, disciplined and respectful of them as well as they are him. What a wonderful time this is for me as a parent to see my son become a leader that God has made him.

For these and many other things I am pleased and thankful for my children

Mystic Wonders Inc. review

MYSTIC WONDERS INC.

As you can imagine laundry duty in this house of 5 teens, 3 adults and sometimes my daughter and her family can be overwhelming. What a load it can place on my household duties. I love to have clean clothes and have my family look their best so I continue on with this dreaded chore. Now Mystic Wonders laundry products have helped to make this job easier.

Mystics Wonder Laundry Ball helps not only save time but also money. The Wonderball as the great laundry ball has been coined allows me to use less detergent than I normally would have. Some times no detergent is needed at all. One of the best parts is that it is non toxic to my children's clothing. That means when i wash my granddaughters clothes I need not worry about her chewing on her little shirt or dress as she often does. This is a great relief on my side knowing that she will not get sick because of how her clothes were washed. Because the system of Mystic Wonders is chemical free it is also skin friendly and may even lead to a reduction of allergic reactions. We no longer need to use dangerous laundry aides to help the clothing color to stay longer which leads to us taking another environmentally friendly step in the right direction.

Not only was I blessed with the laundry ball but also with the dryer balls. Let me tell you we have lots of clothing to dry in this house and because of the heavy towels and amount of clothes that I wash drying often gets to be timely as well. Well no longer with the dryer balls the time I spend drying clothes have been cut in 1/2. Because of the manner in which the dryer balls are created ironing is slimmed down as well. Static and lint are limited using the Mystic Wonder dryer balls creating a more desirable clothing article after being dried. Once again the dryer balls are chemically free and hypo allergenic. What else could you ask for?

There are many other great products available at Mystic Wonders you will have to check out their website to see what other great products they have created to help you around the house. To order the Mystic Wonders laundry ball or dryer balls you can go to the Mystic Wonders website.

FlexFlop review

We all love comfortable shoes. I know by experience that we are not always able to wear the shoes that we love. Wouldn't it be great to be able to keep a great pair of shoes within reach so when no one is looking we can take off those dreaded shoes and put some more relaxed shoes on our feet. Flexflop was designed just for that purpose. Flexflops fold to fit into your bag or purse as to not be noticed and pull out just as easily. Flexflops have been titled the foldable, portable emergency flip flop.

I am sure that my daughter loved the flexflops we received after walking for hours on her senior trip. Sure they were not the shoes that she wore to go around on the great rides but when it came time to relax the flexflops came out and her feet were so relieved. The flexflops stayed securely in her tote bag til they were needed. The simple reason is because the flexflops came in their own zipper pouch and slipped securely away into her bag til she needed them.

Blue, Black, Red, Pink if you like any of the four colors then you would be pleased with a pair of flexflops. The great shoes are teamed up with one of three types of soles. Terry, Twill, Microfiber are the choices of sole. They allow your feet to stay in luxury for the ultimate relaxation. Your choice of plain flexflop or with bling is another great choice you will have to make. I say it all depends on your personality. But no matter your personality I am sure you will love the comfortable, easy to use flexflops.

FlexFlops allows you their own definition of this wonderful shoe as follows:

1. The first "Emergency" flip-flop that folds in half and comes packaged in a matching pouch. Give your feet a break! Treat them to a pair of flexflops, the first portable “emergency” flip-flop that folds in half and comes packaged in a matching makeup-style pouch. Every fashionista has a back up plan for those unexpected emergencies. She has the perfect little black dress and the handy little black bag, so why not a classic little black flexflop? All girls know that fabulous heels bring the right style, but they are not always practical or comfortable! Remember to keep flexflops with you at all times– your feet will thank you.
If you would love to purchase a pair of great flexflops for yourself you can order directly off the flexflop website.

Tips To Choosing the Right College

Thus far life and college decisions have been easy to come by. All 3 of the ones that have went to college or will attend college have attended the same college. The junior college right outside of town. This has worked out great. My son will be transfering to another great college to finish up his education at a University. We had to look at many different things when decided what college or university they would attend. While my daughter will attend a year at the same junior college she will begin her search for what college to finish up her education up at.

Some things you will want to look at when deciding are:

  • What do you want to study or if you do not know this what course work would you want to study

  • Consider the size of the school, educational background, religious affiliation or not

  • Consider the financial aspects of the cost of classes, living in dorms or not etc...

  • What sort of financial aid is available to you if it is needed and what sort of repayment will it require

We have answered these as of now but things change. My son desires to be a teacher and my daughter to help others through social work. Religious affiliation is important to both of them so we have a few different colleges in mind. My son will be attendinga Christian college in a mid size town. Son will live in dorm and I am not sure about our daughter yet she will live at home for a year while attending the juniour college and then after that will depend on where she will be at. We are checking all options for financial aid.

THis is being listed at Talk about Tuesday @ the blog The Lazy Organizer and

Random Thought Tuesday @ Momspective

Focus Friday Updated To Tackle it Tuesday

Thats right my focus friday continues on. The weekend went great a few tears were shed but pride was in those tears. I can not believe how fast time goes by. Sunday I was a parent of a graduate and then switched to that of youth parent since were also having a wonderful dinner at church with profits going towards our church. We made quite a bit of money on this fundraiser. I made a great salad and cake to serve at the dinner and they were a hit. So after the dinner I was on clean up dinner. We have some teenagers that are very good at this as well.

This week we will have outfits to buy, hair to be done all for the graduation ceremony. Daughter has created the menu for the barbq but as you can guess her parents are responsible to make it all. More on this later
