Did you hear about this

Did you all hear about the 7 year old who stole the car to keep from going to church?

Was just wondering what you would do if it was your child? While the parents of this young man seemed upright shaken up and disturbed by the event I was curious of how you all would react? I am a mother of 6 children and while I learned to expect whatever they handed our this I am very happy did not happen. My husband got a kick out of watching it on T.V. while I am quite sure if one of his own had pulled off this stunt it would not have been so funny.

Tracey Singer CD Sweets and Treats Review and Giveaway

Tracey Singer is a children's singer that's a given but there is so much more to him that allows him the ability to be a favorite among children. First of all Tracey is also a dad so he knows how to interact with children. Before he was a dad or a singer he had a top executive job that allowed him to provide the great life for his family. But his true love had always been children and the switch from the executive to the song writing dad was one that he desired. The Songs In Tracey Singer Sweets and Treats allows us to enjoy camping trips gone haywire, summer Christmas celebrations, kids wearing baggy pants that barely stay up and the tale of a never satisfied sweet tooth. Along with the music the listeners are introduced to a group of characters such as Foxy Joe, Hard Hearted haley and the Mall Mom.

A Bunch Of Stupid Questions By Kimber

Welcome to the July 30th version of Thursday Thunks!

(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by
Kimber, the number 14 and the color of life. (2 questions by Ber, figure out which 2.)

1. You are in an enclosed space with a group of friends. Elevator, auto, small room, etc.. You fart and it really stinks. Do you take credit for it or do you play along with the questioning of who did it?

whats that smell? Did you do it? Wasn't me!

2. You are locked in a room sitting at a desk with just a piece of paper and a purple crayon. What do you draw?

Bulldogs after all the paper is white the crayon is purple that means its purple and white bulldogs

3. Do you ever pee in the shower?

well no I have to clean that shower

4. Have you bought, sold or got rid of something on Craigslist?

yes, I have I did own a shop and bought many things

5. You are in a convenience store. In the line in front of you is a drunk guy trying to purchase more alcohol. The cashier tells him they cannot sell it to him because he is obviously already intoxicated. He gets belligerent. The cashier is scared. What do you do?

It depends on if I know him or not, I may tell him the lady said no or I may just walk around and pay for my purchase trying to ignore him

6. While shopping for produce, do you "sample" before you buy (i.e. grapes)?

nope but the kids might

7. You are walking down the street and there is a toddler sitting on a bench by themselves in front of a store - do you just keep walking?

no I would talk to the todler try to find out who they are with and where they are

8. Have you looked up an old friend and/or lover online?

yes facebook is great for that old friend not lover

9. You are nearly in a car/auto accident. Do you freak out, follow the person who nearly caused it & talk to them or just keep going?

I get the drivers license call the police dept.

Silver Love Letters

SILVER LOVE LETTERS
Recently I was able to review a few great pieces of jewelry from the Silver Love Letters. These were adorable and are so much in high fashion that my girls loved them and so will you. Silver Love Letters are great pieces of jewelry that are hand crafted. Silver Love Letters is perfect to express what ever you want every one to know. In addition have a special date that you want to celebrate? Silver Love Letters is perfect for that as well.

Are you expecting a little one or know someone who is? Celebrate that occasion with the Silver Love Letters "Due In..." necklace. The birthstone of the baby is located in the center. The name of the child can be expressed above the stone and on the back you can place the due date.

I absolutely love their ribbon bracelets and actually received one with my daughters name on it. My daughter has a name which is not easy for many to spell and she can not easily locate her name all ready printed on items. So I love the idea of her being able to have her name that was chosen for her on this wonderful ribbon bracelet created by Silver Love Letter.

Want to tell some one special how much you love them? Silver Love Letters can help you with this as well. This beautiful ring from Silver Love Letters can be created using the words that you write yourself.

No matter what your choice Silver Love Letters has the perfect item for you. Silver Love Letters does the stamping you do the imagining. If you can think it up there is a good chance that Silver Love Letters can help you out.

Hells Kitchen

I am not sure if any of you all watch this or not but let me tell you this is one of my favorite shows. I have watched this every since the middle of the first season. I say the middle because I was not aware of it the first season and found out about the show while Chanel surfing. Hell's Kitchen is a T.V. show on the Fox network which pits chef against chef in a wildly exploited cooking show. Now while I like Top Chef and The Next Food Star Hells Kitchen is not a cooking show of that variety per say. It is more about who can take the heat so to say. You know the old saying if you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen. On the show Hells Kitchen that is exactly what happens only the cook who can't keep up with the heat is forced out.

The star of the show besides the chefs is Gordon Ramsey. Gordon Ramsey is from the U.K. and actually started the show on the British Networks. If you are able to get the T.V. Chanel BBC then you should know that Gordon Ramsey has several different shows on there as well. I think Gordon is a strong sort of man that may shout a bit too much but then I love the way that he lights the fire under the cooks to get them to be the best they can be. Chef Ramsey himself is one of the top chef in the world. While there is allot that can be said about this man there is in my own opinion nothing they can actually take away from his cooking or leadership in the kitchen.

Random Thought Tuesday July 28, 2009

Random Thought Tuesday a place to share what ever is on our minds.

First a serious bit of business. I would love to know if you have ever donated blood through a red cross blood drive. I have never been able to do this because of health reasons primarily being anemic. Three of my children donate every chance they can though. For these 3 children I am super proud of. It is a very scary thing but bravely they undertake the assignment thinking of it as a privilege to give. For all of you who have donated I salute you.

Now on to some other brighter business. This week is bible school week and I am loving it. I love to talk to the kids and so far in my craft room I have had kindergarten and first grade tomorrow will come second grade and at the end we will have the older kids. We are making cards to salute those who protect us and let me tell you these are turning out quit well. There is truly some artistic children. One of them drew a monster truck, others skateboarders and even one snowboarding down a hill jumping over fire. Super cool imagination and all.

Well granddaughter princess cutting another tooth. This makes 5 and she is only 11 months old. Yeah for her. She is eating bigger food now. My daughter took all baby food that was not used to the food pantry where mothers who can not afford it can get it. I think this was great of her but then she is always doing things like that.

Princess has growing so fast hard to keep her in clothes. I am looking for 18 month clothes now. I believe that she is taking after her 6 foot 11 inches dad. She is going to be big that is for sure.

Those are my random thoughts what are yours? Share them at the blog The Un Mom

At the Well : Family Visions

This is a weekly meme where Christian women can get together and share their thoughts on a variety of subjects. This week the subject is family vision. The three questions that were asked to be evaluated are:
Do you have a family vision?
Why does having a family vision matter?
If you have not considered having a family vision, what are some steps you can take towards it?
I must say that my family is in the teen years and that a family vision in our family has changed over the years. When our children were little we would do family devotion nightly and they were yet a bit young to do quiet time by their selves. Prayers were said as a family and individually. Now with the children getting older we do have a weekly devotional night and quiet time is either by their selves or with a partner. My children openly discuss their walk with Jesus with me but they may keep back a bit and that is what I accept as their private time. Family prayer is nightly and I know that my children have learned that they can pray about all things great and small.
I believe that a family vision is important for both their Christian growth but also for their personal growth and future. My children all have goals of what they want to do or be in their future. I love the fact that each of them have chosen jobs to help others. I believe this is because of family vision.

Spiritual Sunday: bible school week

This week at our church is VBS. There are many people at church working together to get everything done. This year our theme is Go Adventure. With everything being a mission of sorts. Mine this year is a session of making trail mix for the fire and police department that work so hard protecting us. The part that touched my heart is that we are all working together getting ready for the great week and expecting all the young children to come.

“Let the little children come to Me.” Matthew 19:14

Jesus instructed us to go and tell all about him for that was our great commission. To me that includes even the littlest among us.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (NIV) Mathew 28:19

The week will seem long at times and before we know it will be quickly over. I pray that a seed will be touched in a little heart and planted with love. Oh that a child would first hear about Jesus at a bible school classroom is a very great possibility. I ask for you to all pray for our workers, for patience, for health, for the students to be ready to listen as well as have fun, that a word will be shared or an action displayed that shares the love that Jesus offered all of us.

Mutsy review and discount

Mutsy a leader in strolling and seating needs for the infant or toddler in your life.
As a mother I know how important the right stroller or booster seat is to both the child and parent. As far back as I can remember strollers and booster seats have always been a need for growing children. Mutsy has been creating great products for families since 1937. You can trust the experience behind the Mutsy name to provide you with great strollers and seats.

The Mutsy Transporter is the newest addition to a great collection. The lightweight, full-sized stroller has a very deep and padded seat so that your little one will ride comfortably and is built for infants 3 months to 55 lbs. The Mutsy Transporter provides the best for sleeping with the reclining seat and large protective hood creates a serene atmosphere where the child can relax. For the older child a footrest has been built in so that feet do not dangle free. Because of the light weight build of this great Mutsy product the ease in use is great and when transporting it you did not need to worry either since the transporter will compact quite nicely. The wheels are made to be removable so that if needed for extra room while traveling in a small vehicle as well. The great transporter is available in four colors which are red, charcoal, black and sand.

If your child is transitioning from the high chair to sitting at the table with the family then Mutsy has the perfect item for you. The Mutsy's Grow Up! booster seat allows your little one to sit in style with the family at the table. The Grow Up! can be used in most average grown up chairs and features a harness of sorts to help the little one stay straight up. I can remember my mother using towels to tie my brother in the chair so that he would not fall out because while he was too small for the highchair he was not big enough to sit in a regular kitchen chair. The Mutsy Grow Up! takes care of that problem for you and looks great as well. Don't worry about clean up because the Mutsy Grow Up! cleans up easily as well. If you are a family on the go it is super easy to take the Mutsy booster seat with you as well. The great Mutsy Grow UP! Is perfect for children up to 4 years of age who need the extra help in sitting in a grown up chair.

Buy: To purchase any of the wonderful Mutsy products simple visit this link http://www.mutsy.com/stores/webstores to find a list of great stores and online websites where the mutsy is available.
