National Pina Colada Day and a Non Alcoholic Version Recipe

National Pina Colada Day occurs on July 10th every year. So you say thanks for sharing, the day is primarily over. I would say well you still have time to enjoy a cold relaxing pina colda or save this information for future calendar years.

A pina colada is a sweet cocktail that consists of rum, cream of coconut and pineapple juice. Don't enjoy alcohol don't worry there are many non alcohol versions as well. The drink either way is blended or shaken with ice and garnished with cherries, a slice of pinapple, or both.

Pina Coloda is spanish for "strained pineapple" The first pina colada was created by Ramon "Monchito" Marreto on August 16, 1954 at the Caribe Hilton's Beachcomber Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since 1978 the official drink pf Puerto Rico has been the pina colada.

National Pina Colada Day is celebrated in July which is also anti boredom month. If you throw a party with the drink of the day being Pina Coldas there will be no more boredom. Just check out this non alcoholic version

  1. I am the biggest Pina Colada fan ever, preferably made with half tots of alcohol. Kind of a middle of the road compromise for someone not keen on the taste of alcohol!
