Hot Cocoa and White Hot Chocolate recipes

When I get get to thinking about fall and cool weather the thought of a great cup of hot cocoa comes to mind. My grandmother made some of the best I loved it and it tasted so good. Here are the recipes that we always made.

1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup non-dairy cream powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 3/4 cups instant nonfat milk powder
1 cup miniature marshmallows, if desired
In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar, cocoa powder, non-dairy cream powder, and salt. Stir in milk powder and marshmallows. Pour into a 4 cup container with a tight fitting lid. Seal container. Label with date and contents. Store in a cool dry place. Use within 6 months. Makes about 4 cups.

White Hot Chocolate
Serves 2
1 and 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup White Hot Chocolate Mix
In a small saucepan, heat the milk until bubbles form around the outside.
Add the White Hot Chocolate Mix and whisk until the chocolate is melted.
Continue to whisk until the mixture is hot.
Wondering where to get powdered vanilla? The Great American Spice Company has it! I am not sure at this time if the less expensive Vanilla Sugar is acceptable, but they have both Vanilla Sugar and Vanilla Powder.
