Whipped cream is heavy cream with air beaten into it so that it gets light and fluffy. The cream is usualy flavored with vanilla and sugar but could also be flavored with any liquid or spice ingredient. An easy whipped cream recipe is as follows:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 heaping tablespoons of confectioner’s sugar
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and beat slowly until sugar is combined. Then turn beater on high and beat until stiff peaks are formed, about 2-3 minutes. Serve whipped cream over fruit or any other dessert.
