Prevent Heart Disease

With February being America Heart Month it would be a miss of mine to not use my blog to share with you a few ways to help you prevent heart disease. I do know that we are all human and make mistakes. I do know as well that we all want to live as happy and healthy as we can. Here are some things to think about

Smokers put their selves at a risk for heart disease They are more likely to die if they suffer a heart attack.

Improving Cholesterol Levels will help to reduce risk of heart disease. To much LDL (bad cholesterol) and not enough HDL (good cholesterol) places an individual at risk for coronary heart disease, heart attack or stroke.

More than 50 million individuals living in the U.S. have high blood pressure. High blood pressure is most common heart disease risk factor. The best thing to do is to try to control high blood pressure.

Americans have become lazier over the years. In the past people would work in the garden, work in the yard, take more walks and get out and be fit. Now, many are leading a more sedentary life with less infrequent or no exercise in their lives. It only takes 20 minutes a day to help lower risk of heart disease. Simply being more active is the answer.

Eating right and more nutritious is the answer to many health problems. Watching what one puts in the body and what one does not is often the answer. Lower bad cholesterol and controlling blood pressure and blood sugar levels is the answer along with maintaining a healthy weight. Excess weight puts to much strain on the heart and worsens several other heart disease risk factors such as diabetes.

  4. Heart disease is so scary, and most of the time, it seems to come out of nowhere. I've been doing my best to eat right and move to keep it away.

  7. One of our goals this year is to be healthier both in exercise and eating habits. We are trying to condition our little ones to eat what is in front of them. This stuff does work I went from a size 36 waist in 2014 to a size 29 waist this year!
