MicroFiction Monday

The time stood still as the children within the classroom walls waited to be released from school. It seemed as if 2:45 the time school let out would never come.

  1. Yes...we used to count down those minutes and run out as soon as the bells rang and the doors opened....

  2. I remember that feeling of waiting and waiting and waiting...

    Good one!

  3. Ah...if they only knew how time would fly when they're older, they wouldn't wish for it now!

  4. I remember those days, and being a teacher, I still glance at the clock every now and then-LOL!

  5. Isn't it always the way, like a watched phone never rings or a kettle on a stove never boils.

I feel like this when quitting time is getting close, or the last few miles is left on a long trip when I am heading home.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting today.

  6. In those final countdown moments, time may have "stood still" but it was hard for the soon-to-be-released children to "sit still"...
