These little blondies are sure to fill the need of anyone's sweet tooth. These little blond brownies are thick with a chewy texture and have a taste similar to butterscotch. The rush begins when the entire house begins to fill with the aroma of these treats baking in the oven. In addition, make extra to share to sell at bake sales or give to friends.
Blondies are similar to their counterparts known as brownies. Ingredients are similar calling for both consisting of flour, eggs, butter or oil and sugar. The main difference is that one treat is more of a blond or vanilla color and the other is chocolate based.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 8×8 pan with cooking spray or coat with butter.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla and stir
- vigorously until smooth.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out.
- Place in the oven to bake for 45 minutes until edges are golden and toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares.
This is such a simple and delicious recipe for blondies. I like recipes I can whip up easily in one bowl. Stephanie
