Dried plums are very good for your health. They can help your body in a variety of ways .



  • a serving of 5 dried plums or 1/4 cup pitted plum provides 3.5 grams of dietary fiber. The good part is that 55% of the fiber in dried plums is soluble. Soluble fiber is effective in normalizing and maintaining healthy cholesterol levels which helps to reduce risk of heart disease. It also slows the rate digested food leaves the stomach helping to keep blood glucose levels under control. Dried plums also help to relieve constipation 
  • One serving of five dried plums provides 36% of vitamin K needed in a day. Vitamin K is needed for blood coagulation and bone formation. Dried plums are also a significant source of vitamin A. Vitamin A is useful in sight and to help healthy immune system and bone growth. Vitamin B is also found in dried plums 
  • Dried plums are high in potassium and offers a 10% daily value for every 5. Potassium helps distribute and maintain balanced fluids throughout the body. Blood pressure is regulated and is needed for normal muscle contraction and nerve transmission. Dried plums also help to provide copper to the body. Copper is needed to form red blood cells and utilize iron.
