Each year strokes kill twice as many women as breast cancer. While many women know how to complete a self breast exam many do not know what the symptoms of a stroke are.


Top 7 ways to prevent stroke:

Monitor your blood pressure.
Control your cholesterol.
Keep your blood sugar down.
Get active.
Eat better.
Lose weight if you need to.
Don’t smoke, period.

About 80% of strokes can be prevented by not smoking, making healthy choices, getting physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight and treating conditions such as high blood sugar,  cholesterol and blood pressure.
