SouthWest Sloppy Joes

Snackpicks.com is featuring many great recipes for memorial day and grilling on their site. This sandwich sounds like one my teens will love.






1 onion, sliced medium
2 Rice Krispies® cups
1/8 minced garlic teaspoon
2 chili powder teaspoons
1 salt teaspoon
1/8 pepper teaspoon
1 sugar teaspoon
1/2 sliced, pitted ripe olives cup
1 (6 oz.) tomato paste can
1 can (16 oz.) whole peeled tomatoes, drained
8 hamburger buns

In large fry pan, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned, stirring frequently. Drain off excess drippings. Add remaining ingredients except buns. Stir to combine, cutting

  2. Hmmm.. I think this is the first Sloppy Joe recipe I have ever seen with Rice Krispies. Interesting.
