Frugal Friday and super saving saturday


Frugal shopping trips are always fun. This week my daughter was visiting for a little while so we took full advantage of it and went shopping. We started at Kroger and found great sales on bread, donuts, milk, can goods and deli. Wow we were doing great. We then traveled to WalMart. I am not sure if it is in all Super Walmarts but we have been having some super sales on meat. So we searched the meat section for some great meat buys and found several. Before leaving the store we found winter/spring clothes on sale down to $1 each for shirt / pants. Great buys. Well that was my frugal shopping trip.

What is your favorite fizzy, bubbly drink? oh lets say a strawberry and ginger ale mix drink

Friday Fill In

Aloha Friday

My daughter found out that she is yet another medication after experiencing side effects. The rest of the family are also experiencing allergies of a different sort ones related to spring weather. My question is:

Classy Kid review and giveaway

Gratituesday


This week I have a grateful heart for the family that I have. I am so glad that I have teens who are willing to give up their weekend to attend a christian youth convention. I am also glad that there are Christian Conventions that draw in the attention of these young people. These great people who give up their time to teach the young people (a total of 8,500). Thank You Lord for putting the love of youth on the hearts of Adults that can use their talents and experiences to touch the hearts of the young.
I am also thankful for my husband who stayed at home to take care of the home front. My granddaughter came down sick and he took over the grandmother duties. I am so glad that I met and married a man like him.
The greatness of all that surrounds me is enormous and my heart is very grateful. Very grateful for the people I meet in real life as well as those I know through blogging. Thank God that my life has been touched by so many great people

This is my daughter enjoying one of her favorite events a time away with friends at a Christian Youth Event called Dare to Share. How wonderful for her to be able to go. She truly reconnects with herself and the Lord by fellowshiping with other christian youth. So her talent this week would be strengthening her Christian fait at an outreach event

Monday Musings





Since coming back from the Dare to Share convention with my youth I would love to share some Christian qoutes that help explore thoughts that I think may be on minds of youth;

Happy Homemaker Monday

This is a mem that I am participating in because I believe my blog is my home hence the name Annie's Home and I need more about my thoughts on it

On my bedside table:
On my bedside table you will find information from the last christian youth concert we went to the Dare to Share program. My bible is also there along with some bible study material.

On my T.V:
On my T.V. currently is the t.v show the view

On the menu tonight:
shepherds pie, bread butter, pudding

Latest new recipe I tried:
fruit pizza

In the craft basket:
easter projects

Looking forward to:
looking through baby pictures of my daughter with my mother

Homemaking Tip for this week:
when boiling eggs add a little oil to make peeling easier

Favorite Blog Post of the week:
did not do alot of traveling last week so not really for sure there were several great ones out of what I did see

my nephews with the cheez it guy

Lesson Learned Past Week:
I learned this lesson while with the kids at the Dare to Share convention. The thing I learned was don't ever count anyone down and out there was a young man that many had counted out that went with our group on this trip and I need to tell you he is a great kid

This is my first time in participating in this meme but must say that the reason I am participating is because it seems so right to do so;

I must say that coming home from the dare to share program has truly given me a chance to look at things differently. Each year we travel to the program and each year we come back with our minds fixed on our God, our hearts more in love with God, and the ability to fight the right battle even stronger than before. Oh to see the Lord Jesus one day in heaven is our goal. Til we reach that goal our earthly goal is to spread the word about his greatness and how much he can take care of us. We may face trials, troubles as anyone else but I can not imagine not being able to be able to talk to Jesus as we travel through life. So to me he is my highest and my eyes are upon him.

Monday Menu and recipes




Menu Plan this week includes using up what is left at the end of month and starting over again


Monday: shepherds pie, biscuts, pudding

Tuesday: goulash, bread butter, pudding

Wednesday: church


Friday: chicken strip salad, fries, pb no bake cookies

Saturday: birthday celebration (my daughter)

Sunday: church




shepherds pie

2 lb hamburger, seasoned and browned

instant mashed potato, prepared

can corn, drained

1 c shred cheese


Layer meat, corn, cheese, and potatoes. Bake oven 30 minutes 350 degrees.


Goulash

2 lb hamburger, seasoned and browned

lb pasta (your choice) cooked

can corn, drained

1 jar pasta sauce

1 can diced tomatoes


Mix all Warm Eat can add cheese if you choose
