Grocery Store Savings

Don't you just hate it when you go to the super market and you find a great sale but it is on an item that will quickly go bad? Well what about freezing it. You can freeze items such as milks, butter, cheese and even fresh vegetables. So for my tip today I want to share on what to do with bell peppers.
Have you ever been at the grocery store and noticed a great sale on bell peppers and then think that you could never use that many peppers before they go bad? No worry because bell peppers can easily be frozen and stored in freezer. Simply wash, dry, remove stem and seeds and chop as desired. Pack into freezer bags or containers and freeze for up to 3 to 6 months. So the next time you need diced peppers for a special dish you are cooking simply pull them out of the freezer and they are ready to go.

  1. I do this all the time because fajitas are one of the main staples in my house. Bell peppers can make fajitas too pricy. They freeze really well and I have never noticed a difference betweent he frozen and he fresh!

  2. I do this also. I try to grow a bunch in the summer and freeze as many as I can.
