Salisbury Steak Deluxe
1 can (103/4) oz cream of mushroom soup (.60)
1 T mustard (in pantry)
2 t Worcestershire sauce (in pantry)
1 t horseradish ( in pantry)
1 egg (.15)
¼ c dry bread crumbs (.50)
¼ c finely chop onion (.20)
½ t salt (in pantry)
dash pepper ( in pantry)
1 ½ lb ground beef ($3.00)
1 to 2 T oil ( in pantry)
½ c water
2 T chopped fresh parsley (.50)
the total price to make this would be a little under $5.
Combine the first 4 and blend well. Set aside In another bowl, lightly beat the egg. Add the crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, and ¼ cup of the soup mix Crumble meat over mix and mix well. Shape in 6 patties. In a large skillet brown meat patties in oil: drain Mix remaining soup mix with water; pour over patties. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes or til meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees Remove patties to a serving platter: spoon sauce over meat Sprinkle with parsley.
