- Create a plan of a countdown chart
- most desserts or parts of desserts such as sauce, crust, pie filling or toppings can be made at least a day ahead
- Bread for stuffing can be cut up the day ahead and allowed to dry a bit in a paper bag
- the night before baking season the turkey and place in pan so it will be ready to go
- cranberry sauces are a great make ahead dish
- prepare veggies to be prepared
- several different kinds of appetizers can be prepared ahead of time
