When To Start Potty Training

Once again we find ourselves in the potty training game. This time with my youngest grandson and the game has just begun. If you all have every potty trained a child then you know it can be quite hard to do at times. The best thing to do is to watch for the signs of being ready.

If your child is::
staying dry for an hour or so at a time and not wetting during nap time your child is ready to start potty training. A child before the age of 2 often goes quite often and has the inability to hold their pee.

your child has predictable bowel movements. Many children will go the same time or approximately whether it be morning, after nap, afternoon or whenever. Pay attention and be ready to head to the potty when the sign is present Other signs may be that they tell you when they are going or a slight grunting

They do not like dirty diapers and will remove their diaper if an accident occurs

If your child demonstrates signs that they are ready it is ready to get the game plan on and start potty training

Good Luck
