Light It Red for Lymphoma

On September 15th there will be groups of individuals who will participate in a national event as Lit It Red for Lymphoma. Lymphoma is a cancer that begins in infection fighting cells of the immune system known as lymphocytes. These cells are in the bodies lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, bone marrow, and other parts of the body. Lymphoma happens when the lymphocytes change and grow out of control.          
There are two types of Lymphoma. Non Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphoma. Each grow at a different rate and affect a different kind of lymphocyte. They each also respond to differently to treatment. Most people with lymphoma have non Hodgkin type.
 
You can help draw awareness by taking part and taking a stand on September 15th.
