Slower Cooker Sausage and Kraut
2 to 3 pounds of kielbasa, cut in 2" pieces
6 to8 red potatoes, quartered
2 sliced apples
1 bag sauerkraut
6 pieces of bacon, partially cooked and cut in pieces
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup chicken broth or water
1 (12 ounces) bottle of beer
In a slow cooker layer potatoes, then apples, then kraut, sausage, and bacon. Sprinkle brown sugar on top. Pour beer over the top and broth or water on top. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 2 1/2 to 4 hours.
