- I have often heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I believe it is since it starts the day off with a boost of energy
- Kids who start the day with a healthy meal are more likely to play sports and be more physically active. I believe this is because the child feels better with a bit of energy and will join in more often to play than the one that is tired, hungry without the good breakfast
Some good breakfast ideas that include less sugar that often make children feel tired are:
- whole grain low sugar cereal with low fat milk and fresh fruit
- yogurt berry parfait with granola
- whole grain english muffin with Peanut butter and jelly and glass of low fat milk
- scrambled eggs and toast
- turkey bacon or sausage
Eating right not only gives your child a good boost in the morning but also starts off a life of great nutrition values as well.
