Magical Wands

 Glittering Pretzel Wands (resource here)
Makes 24+ pretzel rods

16 ounces block or bar white chocolate or white candy coating (almond bark), finely chopped
24 large pretzel rods (I like Snyder's of Hanover brand)
Assorted sparkling holiday sprinkles
*(I used crystal sugar, dragees and Swedish pearl sugar among others)

Cover a work surface with waxed paper or parchment paper. Place an 8-inch or larger paper plate (or other plate) nearby.
Place the white chocolate or candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl; heat at 100% power in 30 second intervals. Remove and stir with a rubber spatula between cook times. The candy should melt while you are stirring after about 1 minute total cook time. If lumps remain, then heat again for 30 seconds and stir until smooth.

Transfer the melted candy to a tall drinking glass or plastic tumbler (disposable red Solo cups are perfect for this!). Dip one pretzel rod into the melted candy and hold it above the glass. Twist the rod to let the excess chocolate drip off. Hold the rod over a paper plate and shake sprinkles on all sides. Place the pretzel on the wax paper to dry. Repeat with remaining pretzel rods. Allow to dry completely, about 3 hours or until the candy is dry to the touch. You may also transfer them to the refrigerator to speed setting.

Package six pretzel rods in each of four bags and tie with holiday ribbon for 4 gifts. For a larger gift, package a whole batch in a large, tall air-tight cookie tin.
