National Day of Encouragement

Many of you have visited here before know that I work in a facility. The thing that you may or may not know is that it is a center where older individuals with memory and behavioral issues live. This often leaves these individuals sad and alone for one reason or another. It is my job to take care that their needs are met. Needs such as that they get their shower, eat and are taken care of. To me it is also important to encourage them to do all that they can do for as  long as they can do it. Today, September 12th is the national day of Encouragement.
The day was created by the Encouragement foundation at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. The day has been signed by the mayor of Searcy Arkansas in 2007, that same year it was signed by the Govenor of Arkansas and even President George W. Bush on September 12th officially made the day National Day of Encouragement.
