MicroFiction Monday
The time stood still as the children within the classroom walls waited to be released from school. It seemed as if 2:45 the time school let out would never come.

Yes...we used to count down those minutes and run out as soon as the bells rang and the doors opened....

ReplyDeleteI remember those days, and being a teacher, I still glance at the clock every now and then-LOL!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it always the way, like a watched phone never rings or a kettle on a stove never boils.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this when quitting time is getting close, or the last few miles is left on a long trip when I am heading home.

In those final countdown moments, time may have "stood still" but it was hard for the soon-to-be-released children to "sit still"...
