We have all sorts of cardboard boxes. But what do we do when they are empty? We surely can not refill them all with stuff that we have. We do not need to throw them into our overfilling dumps. So I decided to find 5 great things to do with cardboard boxes:
- garden path way. By breaking the boxes down into flat piecws and staking a cardboard box down you can use it for a walk way around your plants when watering
- create puzzles by using a copy of a picture and gluing it onto cardboard then cutting it into odd shapes will result in a great jigsaw puzzle.
- make a solar cooker impress your kids, impress your spouse, impress the neighborhood. You can find directions here
- remove any plastic, tape, staples and add it to the compost pile. Cardboard will decompose and makes great compost
- remail packages in them
I can't tell you when the last time it was that I bought a box for mailing. I always save my old boxes for just an occasion. ;o)
