Not Me Monday

Are you feeling guilty for not washing your child's swimsuit after they wear it? Feel greasy because you don't wash your hair every day? Overcome with embarrassment because your child was rude while out to dinner? We'll don't be! Not Me! Monday was born out of my desire to admit some of my imperfections and reveal a few moments I'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!

This week has been quite a doozy and I can not believe that today is the day to register for school. I can not believe that summer is allready gone.

I am not missing my princess a bit this week nope not me. It is not me who loves to hear her voice in the background every time I talk to her mother. It is not me who loves to hear about what she is doing and how she is changing. After all I am not the sort of gloating grandma that would share all the stories on my blog or with my friends. No that is not me at all.

My daughter is getting ready to go to college and is in such a great mood that she decided to decorate her bedroom. It was not me who is jealous a bit about how cretive she is. After all where did she get it. I am not the mother who can not draw a straight line or cut along a straight line. I am not thinking a bit about allowing her to redo the living room and paying her for it. No that would not be me at all.

The weather has turned a bit hot and I am very suprised. After all I would never expect the weather to be warm in August. We only live in Southern Illinois where the weather is normally 100 degrees in August. I do not remember at all sitting in the same high school my children attend in the middle of August sweating one bit. I do not think that my children will be as warm as I was back in the day.
