The Unthinkable... The assassination of a president

That fateful day that helped change the world forever. John F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States. On November 22, 1963 at 12:30 p.m. in Dallas Texas the dream would end during a ride in a presidential motorcade. John sat next to his wife Jacqueline as the car drove down the planned route. The unthinkable would happen when the president was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald.

Following the assassination the Warren Commission would investigate the act of what happened. The commission concluded that the man who murdered Kennedy was Oswald. Oswald would be shot by Jack Ruby. The commission believed that both men acted alone when they committed the murders. The assassination of Kennedy was the 4th in American history the short list included Lincoln, Garfield and McKinley. President Lyndon B. Johnson became president at the time of Kennedy's death.
