Have you ever noticed that each generation has its own special music and the generation after desires the sounds of old? The 60s and 70s saw R&B artist such as The Four Tops, Otis Redding, and The Supremes. Today many of the songs created and shared in those days have become memories for fans. There are those special songs that even our young one in this generation hear and like.As a teen i listened to music that my mother did not respect or like. Her generation had the same type of music as well. R&B music from the 1950s branched off of the rugged roots of blues and gospel music. New Orleans the birthplace of R&B saw famous stars such as Snooks Eaglin, Irma Thomas and Rockie Charles.
