Over at the blog We Are That Family you can find a meme known as Works For Me. The theme for this week was blogging tips. Since I learn as I go I do not have alot of blogging tips but one tip I can share is that the blog is a reflection of you and is not you. Place on your blog what you want others to know about you but do not let your blog take over the time you could spend with those that you write about. This is the tip that I go by but here is a tip that could help you cook in the kitchen as well:
My Brother In Law can not stand to eat peels off tomatoes, fruits, etc... His mother would always peel them for him. Now when he comes to my house to eat e expects the same. God Bless his wife who has learned to do this since being married as well. If you are needing to peel a tomato for any reason here is a wonderful how to for you:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. While the water is coming to a boil, fill up your sink with 2-3 inches of water and add several trays of ice cubes. Now that your water is to a rolling boil, drop in the desired tomatoes 3-4 at a time. Once the first 3-4 have been in the water for about a minute, remove them with a slotted spoon and drop immediately into the sink of cold water. This will stop the cooking process. Repeat this with the next 3-4 tomatoes until all that you need for your recipe have been cooked, then cooled. This process is called Blanching. Next, remove the tomatoes one at a time from the ice water bath and using a knife the gently peel the skins from the tomato
This trick works quite easily and easier than what you think

Luckily my husband has grown out of this, because his mom used to peel his tomatoes for him, too.
