Ella Fitzgerald was one of the most talented jazz singers. Known as the "First Lady of Song" and "Lady Ella" she was an American jazz vocalist.
She was born in 1917 and made her debut at the Apollo Theater in 1934. She would become the first woman to win a Grammy Award as an African American woman in 1958 In total Ella Fitzgerald would win 13 grammys and sell more than 40 million albums. She would live to be 75+ years of age when passed in 1996.
