Today November 3rd is an important day in auto history. November 3rd, 1911 was the date the Chevrolet company started. The Chevrolet brand would be the volume leader in the General Motors family. The company sold main stream vehicles to the public and competed against the Ford' comany and Model T.
Swiss race car driver and automotive engineer Louis Chevrolet and William Durant an investment partner co-founded the Chevrolet company. The first series of Chevy cars would be produced in 1913 as the series was introduced to the New York Auto Show.
