DonorsChoose.org works by helping public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on DonorsChoose.org. The requests range from small to big and are come from every subject of school. At DonorgChoose.org you can browse project requests that range in various amounts of money. You can find the project that inspires you and donate a little in several or in just one. Once the project reaches its funding goal, the material is delivered to the school.In return you will receive photos of your project taking place, a thank you letter from the teacher, and a cost report showing how each dollar was spent. If you donate over $100 you will also receive hand - written thank you letters from the students. DonorChoose.org practices what is called philanthropy where the gift of $1 receives the same level of choice, transparency, and feedback that larger donations receive.
