Happy National Hamburger Day
Today, May 28, is national Hamburger day. The unofficial day of summer was this past Monday and to me hamburgers and summer travel together quite nicely. Americans love big juicy hamburgers and cheeseburgers. They are not only delicious but for many years have also been part of American diets. The hamburger was named after the place in which it originated Hamburg, Germany. But it was in America that the hamburger received a bun. The hamburger sandwich was invented in Seymour Wisconsin where there is a festival each year called the Burger Fest where in 2001 the worlds largest hamburger weighing in at 8,266 lbs was created.

No time to make a delicious meatloaf? Cook up these meatloaf burgers and enjoy a delicious meal anytime. Easy to freeze, grill or fry.
Meatloaf burgers
3 lb hamburger
1 1/2 c oats
4 eggs
2 t garlic
1 c salsa
Mix all Pat into patties grill or fry.

ReplyDeleteI love a homemade hamburger now and then. Especially cooked on the grill! Every now and then I make homemade fries or onion rings to go with it. YUM, YUM! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
