In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
Here lately I have asked tons of questions concerning the prom and the excitement surrounding it. I have a different type of question today. I am needing to find great recipes for fiber and great tips on how to use it. So my question today is:
I want to know your favorite full of fiber food (recipes would be great if you have them or links)
want to ask a question of your own? Head over to An Island Life blog here
I have no idea. I don't really pay attention.
ReplyDeleteI'm not up on full fiber foods, sorry. I do enjoy the Fiber One Yogurt, though.
ReplyDeleteWhen I had to visit the dietician while pregnant this last time (gestational diabetes), they didn't cover that much. But the one thing I did learn, every food has a pro and a con. You have to seek out foods that meet your dietary needs.
Do triscuits and cheese count? Really, we all need more fiber. Now you have me searching for some recipes :)
ReplyDeleteWell first off, I'm copying this recipe because I think everyone in my house will actually EAT this! Yea!
ReplyDeleteFiber? Usually I just serve sides like brown rice, broccoli, peppers, (hummm, do peppers have fiber?)...stuff like that.
I do however buy a lot of whole wheat bread/bagels/cereals (like shredded wheat)
We love smoothies w/ lots of berries & a little wheat germ. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI think bran muffins are yummy and full of fiber! I also really love FiberOne Oats & Chocolate bars! SO GOOD!!! I'm convinced that anything FiberOne makes is super tasty!
ReplyDeleteAnything that has oats, wheat germ, bran, etc is going to be full of fiber.
Or what about beans? They're always good for fiber and protein.
Frosted Mini Wheats are yummy and 1/4 of my daily fiber! I also love dried plums. :)
ReplyDeleteI like prunes, I know it sounds crazy, but they are just dried plums after all!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't really know any full fiber recipe but I'd like to learn some.
