Senator Robert Byrd Hospitilized Serious Condition

Senator Robert Byrd, a man hated by some, loved by others a man who has been part of and has seen a big part of Americas history is in serious condition in a Washington area hospital initially with heat related illness. The 92 year old Byrd who was elected to his ninth term in November 2006 has held more leadership positions than any other senator in history. Byrd, once a member of the Ku Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s he soon regretted the affiliation and backed civil rights. A lifetime of Politics would await Byrd starting in the US House of Representatives in 1952 he moved to the U.S. senate 6 years later. Now confined to a wheelchair and in questionable health Byrd strongly backed President Obama and voted in favor of the health care reform. As I said love him or hate him Mr. Byrd is definitely been a part of U.S. history. May his health reward him as he has awarded history.
