Steps to Protect Your Baby From SIDS

Halo the makers of the SleepSack that has been proven to help prevent Sids. The tips Halo has to share are part of a Safe Sleep Check List that can be found here
  • Place baby to sleep on his or her back at naptime and at night time.
  • Use a crib that meets current safety standards with a firm mattress that fits snuggly and is covered with only a tight-fitting crib sheet.
  • Remove all soft bedding and toys from your baby’s sleep area (this includes loose blankets, bumpers and positioners). The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests using a wearable blanket instead of loose blankets to keep your baby warm.
  • Offer a pacifier when putting baby to sleep. If breastfeeding, introduce pacifier after one month or after breastfeeding has been established.
  • Breastfeed, if possible, but when finished, put your baby back to sleep in his or her separate safe sleep area alongside your bed.
  • Never put your baby to sleep on any soft surface (adult beds, sofas, chairs, water beds, quilts, sheep skins etc.)
  • Never dress your baby too warmly for sleep; keep room temperature 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Never allow anyone to smoke around your baby or take your baby into a room or car where someone

Up From The Grave he Arose

This was one of my dads favorite songs I would hear him belt it out while standing next to him at church. In that deep rough voice of his the "Up from the ground he arose" would make you just want to sing as loud and deep. I love this version where the two little boys sing the song that my dad so long cherished Find more praise songs over at the blog Signs, Miracles and wonders

Izzy B Designs Review and Giveaway

I absolutely adore personalized clothing and Izzy B Designs have some of the cutest personalized clothing available. The cuteness that Izzy B Designs creates is available for both boys and girls and creates that adorable boutique fashion.

What about this super cute pink and green Easter outfit perfect for egg hunting. I love how the color go together with a splash of fun.

The initial tee is what we received. Izzy B. has many great designs available for you to choose from but once again can be personalized so that the tee is as one of a kind as the one wearing it is.

Aloha Friday : Birthday on Easter

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Aloha Friday is hosted by the blog An Island life

My daughters birthday this year falls on Easter. She is super happy about this. WE are doing a bit of birthday and a bit of Easter this year. What a birthday to remember this will be.

My question for you today is:
what was your favorite birthday and what did you do

Step 2 cottage giveaway

Step 2 naturally playful countryside cottage giveaway at my friends Dee blog Two of a Kind Working on a Full House. This would be so fun for my granddaughter Princes, my niece or my 2 nephews. If you know someone who would have lots of fun with this little cottage be sure to sign up here

Friday Fragments

Mommy's Idea

This week has been a time to reflect on the past, enjoy the warmer weather, and have good time with new and old friends. My son spent a few hours in the ER with a pulled muscle in his back and then I was there again with my daughter who is having some gallbladder problems. Never know what to expect here I guess I thought it was bad when they were little but now it seems like we are back at that every day is a mystery.

East time is here and last Sunday Princess attended an Easter Egg hunt she was not quite sure what to do with the eggs as she would pick them up but then not put them in the basket. I think she thought if she picked them up they were hers and if she put them in the basket it was sort of like putting them away. LOL

The nephews will be back today. They have been away visiting their grandma for a few days and while I think their mom and dad enjoyed the break they are ready for them to come back home again as well. Just in time for Easter as their mom has lots of great plans for them

I won a Princess Party to go on the blog 3 Kids and Us and was so very suprised. Last night I tried the tutu on my niece and she looked adorable. There were 4 tutus 2 of which were blue and 2 of which were purple my niece will get two and Princess will get two as well.

Well those are my fragments from this week what are yours? Share them here

Blush Review and Giveaway

Its that time of year where we all want to wear less clothing but we still want to keep what we want to keep covered covered. I for one like to wear the same cute little tees that others where the only problem is that they are not made long enough. So the Blush topless undershirt helps this out. Do you go to baseball games of your favorite team or your little league and love to cheer? Does your shirt slide up each time you stand to cheer? The Blush topless undershirt can help you with this as well. For those that are expecting a new bundle of Joy the extra room for the baby seems to make ones stomach pooch out and under the bottom of a shirt. With the Blush Topless Undershirt ones tummy can remain out of view of the entire world that we know loves a pregnant stomach.

Blush Topless Undershirt website states that everyone can enjoy the goodness. The look of layering has been around for quite sometime and with the Blush Topless Undershirt it is an easy look to achieve. Another great thing about the Topless Undershirt is that it is made with no straps so that means that the one wearing it gets to decide how long the Blush Topless Undershirt is worn. Readjustment is not needed The topless undershirt is perfect for moms who nurse as well. They allow the mother to pull the undershirt up while nursing allowing a bit of privacy while letting the baby feed.

Buy: you can visit this link to see where you can purchase your own Blush Topless Undershirt

Remove from the heat. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, salt and pepper. Add cheese, bacon and mushrooms; mix well. Stir in potato mixture. Pour into four greased individual baking dishes.

2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (1 1/2 oz)
3/4 cup milk

Scandle review

With all the great out door work we will be doing this spring, the tense moments our children may provide, and those long days of having fun this spring and summer season we may find ourselves a bit tired, worn out and in need of a good massage. Scandle is the candle that feels good. The reason that it feels good is because not only does it give warmth but the wax is meant to help provide a wonderful massage. Oh does that not just sound super wonderful? It sure does to me.

Scandle takes the best of body massage oil and fragrant spa candles and creates a wonderful combination. The Scandle starts out as a wonderful smelling soy candle and melts into a body lotion that is suitable for skin care and perfect for giving massages. The Scandle company createed a Utube video and I think it explains nicely all about the Scandle so I thought I should share it here with you.

You can buy any of the great Scandle products directly from the Scandle website by following this link
