Quick and Easy Crockpot Roast

Fall is the perfect time to get the best use from your crockpot. One of my favorite things to do is to make a slow cooker pot roast. They are so easy to prepare using the crockpot and come out delicious as well. Many roast that are prepared in the crockpot will call for cream of mushroom soup. This recipe does not so while we do not mind using the soup in many of our recipes it gave us a break from the same old as well.

Start with some sliced potatoes and carrots in the bottom of the crockpot. Using a roast approximately 3 lbs in weight place the roast on the veggies. Sprinkle the onion soup mix on top of all. Mix 2 bouillon cubes with 2 cups of water. Pour over top and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. The results should look something like this
