World Population Day




World population day is sponsored by the United Nations World Population Fund. The day focuses upon people under 25, reproductive issues and health. Today, July 11th is a day to share information to educate and make others aware of reproductive health issues. Reproductive choices, family planning, and how to provide a better future for young people.


The United Nations Development Program established World Population Day to closely look at and draw awareness to global population issues. July 11, 1987 World Population Day was established as the worlds population reached five billion people. A few issues that are looked at on this day have and are family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights.
