Kidorable Review and Giveaway.
To me there are three main type of Christmas shoppers. (1) There are those like my sister in law who like to have their shopping done or nearly done, Christmas decor up, and plans made by the early part of November (2) Then there are those like my daughter who save their money for a large shopping weekend where they go shopping, put the tree up, decorate the outside and do it all on a given date, and (3) then there are those like me who have good intentions and buy along the way but always seem to be shopping each year at the end of the year. I am happy to say that no matter what type of shopper you are Kidadorable has created a Holiday Gift buying quiz to help you to find the perfect present for those on your list.
This time when I was offered an item to review from Kidadorable I was in the grandmother mood and was thinking about my lil' Princess and my grand son that would be born soon. Since my son in law is a fire fighter it is a given that our little man will be surrounded by sports, firemen, golf, tools and many other items as well. Princess has moved into a pink phase and is in love with cats so the choice of style was easy. There are normally many rainy days through out the year where they live so I chose to review raincoats for them. I was delighted of how cute they were. They arrived with a matching hanger that were as cute and stylish as the raincoats. The material was a thick material that I am sure the super cute coat will prevent my babies from getting wet. Just take a look at how cute they are.
The cute pink of the raincoat and smiling kitty gives this raincoat personality. It only adds to the radiant personality that my grand baby all ready has.
space hero |
ballerina In addition to the new two styles of ballerina and space hero Kidadorable has eleven (11) other great styles to choose from. I am sure there will be one that is perfect for you. Each style is available in an array of products ranging from rain boots to hooded towels. We have the fireman hooded towel and love it. It completely wraps around our little Princess and now that she has outgrown it I am sure that it will be handed down to her new little brother. We loved the softness and the features were so adorable. I loved how it stood up for ware as well. |
fireman hooded towel |
Lucky Cat Kidadorable Rain Coat |
fireman raincoat |
As I stated earlier our little man will probably grow up to love or hate the fire department as its symbols are all through the house. This cut fire jacket is the same shape as his daddies and the flames are realistic giving this raincoat my thumbs up.
Buy: you can purchase any of the Kidorable products from the Kidorable website
Win: one of Annies Home readers will be able to win their choice of Kidorable umbrella.

Easy Apple Cake
1 (9 oz.) box yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. butter
1 large Macintosh apples
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1 pint ice cream, flavor of your choice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 by 9-inch square cake pan (can use a disposable foil cake pan) with 1 tbsp. butter. Prepare cake mix as described on cake box, with 1/2 cup water and the egg. Peel and dice apple into small bits. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon and sugar and mix well. Pour cake batter into prepared cake pan. Spread apples on top of cake batter, evenly covering the entire top of the cake. ( I tend to put a little more towards the edges so that when the cake rises in the oven the apples don't fall to the center of the cake.). Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Best if served warm with ice cream. Very good at room temperature though.

Listerine Oral Care Challenge
As a mother of 6 I have had my battles with reminding my children to brush their teeth, floss, and rinse with fluoride. Listerine kids is trying to change the battles by getting the kids to want to brush, floss and rinse with fluoride on their own. A challenge has been made to children age 6 and older in the "October Oral Care Challenge". The challenge was to brush, floss, and rinse 2x every day for 2 weeks. The first week of the challenge is down and now we are on to the second week of the challenge. Mom Central has helped to facilitate this challenge by sending a package of goodies from Listerine and Reach that is helping out on the challenge.
One product that they seemed to love is the Agent Cool Blue. This blue liquid substance helps to ensure that the kids are applying concentrated brushing where it is needed. The blue stains the plaque on the teeth and allows the child to see exactly where they need to brush.
MomCentral also supplied us with a few different Smart Rinse products. Smart Rinse is an anti cavity mouthwash that is meant for children ages 6 and up. The Smart Rinse product from Listerine helps to clean teeth more than just brushing alone, helps to kill bad breath, provides fluoride to help prevent cavities, and has a magnetic ability that gathers particles that brushing may leave behind. Smart Rinse is available in 2 flavors berry and mint. So far the kids are enjoying the Smart Rinse product as they use it like a finish to their day sort of like I do with mouthwash. Listerine included parents in the challenge as they know and believe that children learn and incorporate behaviors because of experiences they have as well as watching others and following what they do.
MomCentral sent the Reach Access Flosser in the package as well. The flosser is so much easier to use than the old way of flossing. I must say that in the past I would occasionally pass the flossing step due to lack of time. It was my first time using the Reach Flosser but I must say that I found it very easy to use and I thought it did a great job with ease.
Listerine Total Care is not only great for fresh breath and helps fight gingivitis but also taste great. I hate mouthwash that has overpowering taste or smell and if I don't like it I wont use it as often as I should. That is why I love Listerine fresh taste and smell that makes oral care as enjoyable as possible.
You can take advantage of a couple of great deals as well. Save on Listerine total care as well as Smart Rinse kids product
Listerine and Reach have teamed up with the tooth fairy in "Trick or Treat for America's Tooth Fairy"to bring awareness to Pediatric Dental Disease.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of LISTERINE and REACH and received products to take the Oral Care Challenge. Mom Central also sent me a global giving gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Reach has created toothbrushes with characters that the children are familiar with as well as wild fun colors. the vibrant toothbrushes allows the child to choose their own and call it theirs. The four pack wonder grip toothbrushes from Reach comes in a set of four vibrant fun colors of blue, pink, orange and red. My children have always like claiming something of their own. With the wonder grip brushes there is now no mistaking which one is whose and this helps my children to want to brush their children even more.
