The Model T

One Hundred and Ten years ago the Model T automobile was introduced. It was the first car ever created by Henry Ford. The new car was created for the middle class Americans and was sold for $825. The automobile could go at top speed of 40 mph.

The "Tin Lizzie" as the Ford Model T was produced using an assembly line thus allowing the price of the car to stay affordable. The car was sold in Detroit Michigan. Henry Ford was born in nearby Dearborn, Michigan on July 30, 1863. He was 45 when the Model T was invented. Ford died at the age of 83 but not before he had made him self a world famous American industrialist and the founder of the Ford Motor Company.

Eventually the Ford Model T would be made into nine different  body styles. Each of the vehicles had the same engine and chassis type. Colors available included grey, green, blue and red. There was not a black until 1914.
