Chicken and Dumpling #Recipe



2 pounds Chicken breast ; Skinless
4 tablespoons Butter
1 small can Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
2 Carrots ; pealed and chopped
1 stalk Celery ; chopped
1 can Chicken broth
DUMPLINGS
1 1/2 cups All purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Lowfat Milk
6 teaspoons Butter

 Place the chicken, soup, butter, soup, carrots, celery and chicken broth in the crock pot. Fill the crock with enough water to cover. Cover. Cook for 5 to 6 hours on High, or 9 to 10 hours on Low. About 30 minutes before serving, combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Melt butter and mix with milk; add to flour mixture and stir just until combined.

Drop dumplings by tablespoons onto hot, bubbling chicken mixture in crockpot. Cover and cook on HIGH for 20-25 minutes until dumplings are cooked through, fluffy, and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
