Autism Awareness Month

The Autism society is trying to bring awareness to autism, inclusion, and self determination for all. Each person with Autism should be allowed the same opportunity as everyone else. The opportunity to achieve what they can and live a life with as much purpose as it can is all that they are asking for  If you are like me and are willing to accept this then this post is for you.

There are those in the community that are helping all those with Autism to do their best. For the past 50 years services and programming have been there to help support all individuals living with autism. The next goal is to have the rest of the community to ensure acceptance and include those with Autism in schools and community events. That is the only way to reach true appreciation. Everyone, each one of us, has something to offer with our gifts our communities and can grow and succeed.

April is Autism Month and there is no better time than now to help promote autism awareness, autism acceptance and bring awareness to more autism diagnosis. This year, just a few months ago, my own grandson was diagnosed with autism. He is still my grandson, he is still my little man and yes, he has autism. Now, we know why he always seemed a bit different and we have chose to live with it helping and supporting him all the way
