Taco trivia do you know, a great recipe for crock-pot chicken soft taco all to Celebrate National Taco Day

A taco is a traditional Mexican dish. A tortilla made of corn or wheat that has been folded or rolled around a filling

Taco's can be made with many different types of fillings. Fillings may include beef, chicken, seafood, vegetable and cheese.

Normally taco's are enjoyed without utensils. Served on or along side of tacos are normally a variety of garnishes. These garnishes may include salsa, avocado, guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, meat of choice, onions, lettuce and cheese.

Most everyone likes tacos in one fashion or another because they can be made to suit the creators taste. The recipe I share today is a crock-pot recipe and comes from the website A Year of Slow Cooking where many great recipes can be found.

Our recipe starts with the list of ingredients

--frozen boneless, skinless chicken pieces
--can of tomatoes and chiles (and the juice)
--1/3 cup of water
--1 cup frozen corn
--can of beans (drained)--I had most of a can of kidney beans in the fridge that I used.

your favorite taco or burrito fixings, and shells or tortillas

Looking very common to many tacos that our family and possibly your family will love. The main meat ingredient is chicken. I like to use chicken as I can often purchase it more economically than other types of meat.

--plop the chicken into the crockpot. I used frozen pieces. If you chicken is thawed, it will not take as long to cook.
--cover chicken with the tomatoes, water, and corn.
--cook on low for 7-10 hours, or on high for 5-6. Shred meat with forks and stuff into your favorite shell or tortilla.
