LightHouse Day

A lighthouse is a tower, building or other type eof structure designed to send light from a system of lamps and lenses. The lighthouse is used as a navigational aid for maritime pilots at sea or on inland waterways. Lighthouses are positioned to mark dangerous coastlinees, hazardous shoals, reefs, and safe entries to harbors, and assist in aeerial navigation.

Lighthouses were once widely used but the number of operational lighthouses has declined dueee to expense of maintenance and use of electronic navigational systems. Lighthouses stood tall for mariners and guided them safely to where they were going. Through history the lighthouse has functioned more as an entrance marker to ports but also as warning signal for reefs and promotions.

Christians should think of our Lord Jesus being our Lighthouse. Offering the light to guide us on the path we should go. He is the one that we should be attracted to do so that we do right. If we follow and trust Him who should we fear.
