Beef Jerky Recipe For Food Dehydrater

Beef Jerky

4 lbs of beef (you can use any cut you like, but round steak works well)
1 teaspoon of your favorite hot sauce
1 teaspoon of dry Italian style dressing
1 and 1/3 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 and 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
1 Cup of Soy Sauce
1 Cup of Worcestershire Sauce
4 Tablespoons of Onion Powder
A couple pinches of salt

Cut your meat into strips about a quarter inch thick and cut off any of the fats.
Add in and mix thoroughly all the ingredients together to create the marinade.
Marinade your strips in a bowl and cover it up. Put the marinade in the fridge, and leave it for at least over night. You can also leave it longer if you prefer. The longer the marinating time, the more tender and delicious your meat will become.
Remove your marinade from the fridge the following day.
Toss them in your dehydrator, and dry until it’s bendy but not brittle. Serve and savor!

This is a great basic beef jerky recipe for your food dehydrator since you can use it as a jumping off point for lots of other experiments. One of my favorite variation is to use ranch instead of Italian dressing and when it’s done sprinkle a little brown sugar.
