Ear Muff Day

Big Eared Chester Greenwood the inventor of the earmuffs is the first to thank for keeping our ears warm today. On March 13, 1877 Greenwood patented the "Champion Ear Protector" which became known as "ear mufflers" and later shortened to "ear muffs".

Big Eared Chester was a mere 15 years old when he would invent ear protector. I am sure that those that live in or visit cold areas are happy that such an invention occurred.
