Snow Sculpting
Have you ever made a sand castle?? This is mainly done in the summer time when having fun getting wet. What if I told you that there was a similar talent in sculpting items out of snow?? Snow sculpting is often down outdoors with a full crowd of spectators. The materials and tools used for snow sculpting and not always the same but often include hand tools such as shovels, hatchets and saws. Snow sculptures use shovels, hatchets and saws. The snow comes in blocks 6 to 15 feet on each side weighing 20 to 30 tons each. The snow is densely packed into a form after having them produced by artificial means or collected from the ground after fresh snowfall.
