World Leprosy Day

Leprosy has been around since biblical times. There are masses around the globe that suffer from this terrible disease. There are about 200,000 individuals who have been diagnosed with leprosy. There are millions more that have not been diagnosed as of yet. The disease manifest itself in ways that include patients skin and nerve systems.
Like most illnesses and diseases detecting it early is the most important. Hopes are that leprosy can be found, diagnosed and cured before it progresses into disabilities.
Leprosy day is hosted in the month of January. There are many ways that you can help promote awareness. Post about finding cures, funding treatment for those affected and those that are to be.
World Leprosy Day 2017 goal is to raise money. and increase awareness of the disease. Leprosy is very contagious and can be easily spread as well. The smallest respiratory droplet transmitted in the air can help spread the disease. Those infected with leprosy are quarantined off and are sent to live in isolated environments away from friends and family. Praying for those living with leprosy is important as well. Volunteers are needed to hand out pamphlets, distribute information via leaflets, or conduct seminars are all needed to educate others.
