Trivia Day
As a kid I recall all the great daytime game shows. When I got older I loved the game show station where you could watch game shows all day long. It was always fun to play along and see if I could answer the questions. Perhaps that is why I liked trivia so well.
All those facts from the daytime game shows can now be used to show my family and friends how much I know. The fun part is seeing if they know the answers as well. Trivia day on January 4th is always a great day to share all the little facts we have stored up. Will anyone else know the answers??
The game Trivial Pursuit had its great run and sparked fascinations every where. Who will know the odd facts about geography, history, art, science, sports and entertainment. First created in Montreal Quebec Canada in 1979 Trivial Pursuit by Chris Haney and Scott Abbott the game was nearly an instant hit and worldwide phenomenon.
Today, celebrate by spend some time with family and quiz each other and discuss little known interesting facts. Arguments over whether the answers are right or wrong can come up so keep an encyclopedia or google.com close by. The competition over knowledge can be lots of fun so enjoy the game and a few facts I found as well:
In the Victorian era, special teacups were produced to protect the mustache from being inadvertently dipped in tea.
On Venus, it snows metal.
Cuba is the only Caribbean Island with a railway
The 7 largest country in the world take up half of the world’s surface
Several building in New York have their own zip code
The country Brazil was named after the Brazil nut, and not the other way around
Fredric Baur invented the Pringles can, and when he died in 2008, his ashes were buried in one
Only female mosquitoes bite
Jacuzzi is a brand name, and the company also produces toilets and mattresses
Haha this sounds fun!
