Spooky Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

1. For years individuals have tried to make the worlds largest items. The grilled cheese sandwich is one such item that individuals have tried to make and each time pushing it just a bit furthered. Take a look at the grilled cheese in 2013

In honor of that grilled cheese and because it is a great sandwich to make before going out on trick or treat night I wanted to share some spooky grilled cheese sandwiches.

3. 2 slices white bread
4. 1 tablespoon butter
5. 1 slice American cheese
6. 4 very thin slices Granny Smith apple
7. ½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Using a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter, cut out a pumpkin shape from both bread slices. Use a knife to cut out 2 eyes, a nose, and a mouth from 1 pumpkin shape.
In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Layer American cheese, apple slices, and Cheddar cheese on pumpkin shape without eyes, nose, and mouth. Place both pumpkin shapes in pan. Cover, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown. Place bread slice with jack-o’-lantern face on top of melted Cheddar, with toasted side facing up. Serve immediately.
