It does not seem possible that 15 years has passed since that devastating day. I was at work as usual that morning of September 11th. My children were at school and my husband would be working the evening shift so he was at home working in garage. Where were you?? I have worked in nursing homes for the past 25 years. This morning we would get our residents up and turn their t.v. on to find that one air plane had flown into the first tower, with a bit of craze another one would soon hit as well. It seemed as if we must be heading to war, someone was attacking our great country.
The line to the phone with my co-workers each calling home was something that seemed to happen at once. I called my husband who had heard the terrible news on the radio. The schools would shut down early and send the kids home. On the way home from work I saw a great line at the local gas station and grocery stores were packed. I believe no one knew what was going to happen. In the days that would follow the world would seem a bit crazy.

I do remember. I was glued to the TV for days on end. It was a horrific day....
